Access to Justice is a fundamental right of all Americans. Legal Aid staff and volunteers work hard to ensure all Texans are afforded equal access to justice, but there are not enough resources to meet the legal needs of the 3.1 million poor people living in Texas. We need your help to ensure that all Texans, regardless of income, have meaningful access to civil justice.
Donate
Please make a tax-deductible donation. The money you contribute may help an elderly person keep his home, a disabled student gain access to the classroom, or an abused child find safety.
Volunteer
If you are an attorney or legal professional, please volunteer your time to provide pro bono legal services through your regional or local Legal Aid provider. For volunteer opportunities in your area, click here.
Advocate
Write, call or email your senator or representative asking them to make civil Legal Aid a priority. Contact your local newspaper to ensure Legal Aid issues are addressed. Support policies, as well as court rules and procedures, that seek to remove barriers to the Texas civil justice system.
